3/4/23 “So it Goes”

a brown bear swimming in a body of water

While sunny skies continue to hold over the bay, a slight increase in wind and swell made for more adventurous conditions today. Our 10am trip found a lone Gray Whale, charging up the coast on her way back to Alaska/Canada, as well as a small of pod of Risso’s Dolphin. Our afternoon trip swapped out dolphin in favor of two additional Gray whales (totaling three for said trip). For me, the star of today’s show was a Red Octopus(!) who gave its life today upon the belly of a hungry Sea Otter, teaching her pup how to hunt. So it goes
