WOW! What a way to ring in the new year! We received this photo late last night from one of our passenger’s on yesterday’s 10am trip. This is a BREACHING BLUE WHALE! It was taken from quite a distance; about half way through the breach, but incredible none the less. This behavior from a Blue Whale was completely a first for everyone on our boat – crew included! It cleared about half of it’s body out of the water several times in a row while in the proximity of another Blue Whale.
